Some of our good friends...
David K. Shepherd - Dr. Shepherd obtained his BA from North
Texas State University in 1986, followed by his BS from Texas A&M
University in 1988. He then went on to receive his DVM from Texas A&M
College of Veterinary Medicine in 1991. After working in mixed practices in
both Jacksonville and Temple, Texas, he purchased Roanoke Animal
Hospital in 1996.
Although he enjoys all aspects of his practice, Dr. Shepherd particularly
enjoys dentistry and laser surgery.
Dr. Shepherd was born in Midwest City, Oklahoma but moved to Texas "as
fast as he could". He and his wife Paula, the backbone and Financial
Manager or Roanoke Animal Hospital, now share their home in Keller with dogs
Gretchen and Missy.

Lisa Stickney, DVM - Dr. Stickney received her DVM from Texas A&M
College of Veterinary Medicine. She also received her BA from TAMU.
Growing up in Austin made this a natural choice for her. Dr. Stickney began
practicing in the Dallas area in 1991 and has been living and working in
the Keller area since 1998. She joined us at Roanoke Animal Hospital in
2008.
Dr. Stickney enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine but finds internal
medicine, geriatric medicine and soft tissue surgery the most fascinating.
When not at the clinic, Dr. Stickney, husband and 3 children like to spend
time with their dogs Scout (a lab) and Buddy (a King Charles Cavalier). Dr.
Stickney also likes to read, go cycling and watch her kids play soccer.

Joni Noel, DVM - Although Dr. Noel got her associate degree from Texas
A&M she had not gotten the calling to be a veterinarian at the time. She moved
back home to Tulsa, Oklahoma where she subsequently went back to school for
her Pre-vet and Veterinarian degrees. After working in many diverse locations
like Las Vegas, the D.C. area and Ft. Worth, she has finally settled at Roanoke
Animal Hospital where we hope she stays for a very long time!
Dr. Noel's specialities include soft tissue surgery, laser surgery and internal
medicine. And she absolutely loves all the staff at RAH. She thinks we are the
best staff a Veterinarian could ask for, "Everyone loves what they do and
definitely show it in all that they do for the pets." (We love you too Dr. Noel!)
Dr. Noel spends her free time with Remington the Great Dane, Aggie and
Cowboy the tabby's, and Zoe a Brussels Griffon. When not busy with this crew
she loves to sing Karoke, play volleyball and read murder mystery books.
