Current Events
Our wonderful staff learns all about you and your pets when you
come visit us at the Hospital. We thought it would be nice for you
to learn a little about them as well. So we've created this new
page where you can see what our staff enjoys doing when not
taking care of your loved ones.
Dr. Shepherd & wife Paula, along
with a few of their friends, recently
attended the Annual Metroport
Meals On Wheels Benefit held at
The Classic Café in Roanoke. The
annual event is held to raise funds
to provide meals to medically
fragile and chronically ill individuals
in our area.

We say goodbye to Adria:
"It is with a heavy heart that I write today to say goodbye to all my friends at RAH
including, by far, the most wonderful clientele (and of course all my fur-footed
friends). I have decided to leave work to allow the opportunity to spend more time at
home with my wonderful children and amazing husband.
I consider myself a very lucky person to have been able to go to work every day to a
job that I absolutely love. It has been the greatest honor and privilege serving each
and every one of you over the years. RAH has been my second family and I will
forever cherish the relationships formed, memories made and times shared.
How lucky I am to have something that makes saying good-bye so hard. Thank you
for your trust, friendship and devotion; it is certainly a bittersweet farewell. I will miss
you all dearly.
Best wishes and much love,
Adria (and the prettiest little princess "Emmy" barks adieu)
